Black-Owned Businesses In OKC

Black History Month takes place in February. This is a time where we recognize the important people and events that happened within the history of African Americans. President of the Southern Nazarene University’s Black Student Society, Dajia Shardia says “I am grateful to celebrate Black History Month, however, I don’t feel like the celebration of our black history should be limited to one month and should be celebrated all year round.” “ To me, this month means to be proud in my black skin and to use my platform to educate and amplify black voices.”

So what is just one way you can celebrate Black History Month? By supporting black-owned businesses! There are a handful of black-owned businesses in OKC.
