Speight Reaches 500 Career Assists

Senior Micah Speight reached 500 career assists a week ago against Hardin University. He is the third person to ever do it in the Great American Conference (GAC) history. This is a big accomplishment for Micah and for the whole team and coaches.

Micah said that it is an honor to be able to reach that accolade. It is not easy to achieve something like that, but it speaks to how good his teammates have been for four years. Micah said it would be impossible to achieve something like that without his teammates and great effort that they all make together.

Micah’s next goal is to win the GAC Championship tournament for the third time in a row. He is also expecting a national championship as well. As he says, “The team is great and they have a lot of potential, not just to win GAC tournament for the third time in a row, but to represent our school at the national championship as well.”

Micah will be graduating this coming May, and he is expecting to keep playing basketball for as long as he can until he starts his coaching career.

The Southern Nazarene University (SNU) men’s basketball team will keep doing great things and keep making history. There is only one month left and ten more games before the SNU men’s basketball team heads to the GAC Championship.
