It’s time for homecoming, and between the Student Government Association and the athletic department’s events, here is your guide to where you’ll want to be.
Howdy Homecoming takes place Thursday, November 5, at 8 p.m. at Chester’s Party Barn. For directions visit snusga.com and click on the Howdy Homecoming poster. This event will include two stepping, a petting zoo, bonfire, hayride and a corn maze.
The Homecoming Coronation Chapel takes place Friday, November 6, at 11 a.m. in the Herrick Auditorium. Come see who you chose to be homecoming king and queen.
Lumberjack Night takes place Friday, November 6, at both the men and women’s basketball games. The women’s team plays at 6 p.m. and the men’s team plays at 8 p.m. Flapjacks will be served between the two games. Students are encouraged to dress up as a lumberjack. This means flannels, beards, boots, etc.
The football team plays at home against Ouachita Baptist Saturday, November 7, at 1:30 p.m. Come out and support the storm to their first win of the season.
SNU Powderpuff 2015 will take place after the homecoming football game Saturday, November 7, at 6 p.m. on the home football field. The ladies take the field to show that football is not just a man’s game.
Tickets can be bought individually for each game, or packages can be bought for $10 without a crimson card or $5 with a crimson card. Due to limited amounts of food truck vouchers, Chick-fil-A vouchers and shirts, the packages now only include admission to all homecoming games and Howdy Homecoming. A shirt can be pre-ordered for $10. For further information you can visit the SGA homepage at snusga.com.
