Major: Music and English

Hometown: Stillwater, Oklahoma

Hobbies/interests: Movies, video games, reading, baking, academic writing, imgur.com, doodling, being #TotesFab, singing, composing, chocolate, shenanigans, Dr. Who, singing louder than is necessary, making people question my sanity, making people laugh, garage sales, and searching for pants in my size.

What are three words that describe you? Thinker, Improviser, Collector

What is a talent that you possess? I can memorize easily, which has helped me learn songs in a week that should have taken me a month (procrastination is a bad habit). Oddly enough my memorization skills do not extend to remembering names, so it usually takes me a while to be completely confident that I know what to call people.

What is your biggest fear? Spiders. Those suckers are the epitome of pure, eight-legged evil.

How do you contribute to the fine arts department? I work in the music office with the fabulous Rhonda Spear, so I get to be very involved in the workings of the music department. I am lucky enough to have been involved in the Chorale and University Singers groups, as well as participate in the past two musicals. I also play piano, under the tutelage of Dr. Mark Reighard, so I’m sure that anyone walking through the practice room halls has heard me banging out Habarnera from “Carmen” at any odd hour.

What achievement are you most proud of? Directing my first production, “A Night of Sondheim feat. Audra Faust.”

What are the perfect pizza toppings? Uh, pepperoni. Duh.

What is your life motto?  You’ll always have tomorrow to be sad, so choose to be happy today

What cheers you or relaxes you after a stressful day? Being alone with my thoughts and listening to some happy music, or hanging out with a few friends and just chilling together. Also eating chocolate.
